Principal, Shopp Nonclinical Consulting LLC. Dr. Shopp has 22 years experience in the fields of toxicology, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and drug development, including: three years at Synergen where he was responsible for all regulatory and research/investigational toxicology; two years at Genentech where he directed the research toxicology group and was responsible for nonclinical development of growth factors and monoclonal antibodies; and nine years at Elan Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for global nonclinical development and research toxicology of small molecule drugs and biopharmaceutics. Dr. Shopp was President of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Toxicology in 2003 and has a PhD in Pharmacology and Immunotoxicology from the Medical College of Virginia.
