Mr. Sum is Vice President / Analyst at Biotechnology Value Fund, a San Francisco-based investment fund. At BVF, he serves as portfolio manager, assesses investment opportunities, and also advises BVF's portfolio companies on their business and drug development strategies. He is well on his way to becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst, having pass all three of the program's requisite examination levels. Mr. Sum earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and worked in software development for several years, including in the recombinant drug production facilities at Genentech. He replaces Adam Bristol on the Board.
